Simmetrico’s ability to handle complex systems results in our involvement in Expo Astana 2017 also within the large sphere of the Kazakhstan Pavilion, the heart of the international exhibition centre that will open on 10th June of this year.
In the glass structure, with a diameter of 80 metres and 26,000 square metres of space, Simmetrico was in charge of executive production of all indoor fittings as well as the implementation of the multi-media installations on the seventh and eighth floors. These are the two highest levels of the Pavilion, with more than 4,500 sq.m. of total surface area, from which the “Future Energy” exhibition route will begin.

Simmetrico conceived, designed, and built the Azerbaijan Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai.
Seeds for the Future: this title clearly explains the key message behind the project, that is, the awareness that only by investing in the future now can people secure a sustainable tomorrow.
We designed a structure that is as transparent as a leaf but as solid as a tree. These shapes are not only symbolic but functional too. The leaf is a tensile structure that generates a microclimate that absorbs little energy. The large trunk is the fulcrum around which the spaces develop vertically and horizontally.
The exhibition involves visitors with stories and reflections on our future. Case studies will teach visitors about a country that has managed to make great strides during its young history. Azerbaijan has faced global challenges such as safeguarding and improving the environment, diversifying the economy and investing in human capital and sustainable development. On several occasions, these challenges were met by introducing avant-garde visions, which represent the “seeds of the future” and precious opportunities for reflection in the Expo context.

Montenegro Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai
“At the birth of the planet, the most beautiful encounter between land and sea must have been on the Montenegrin coast”. This quote by Lord Byron guided the Simmetrico team while adapting and creating the final design, conceiving the design experience, developing and producing the multimedia contents and technologies, up to the complete realization of the Montenegrin pavilion “Blessed by Nature”.
The narration imagined by Simmetrico takes place in a tiny, enveloping, and immersive space showcasing Montenegrin's unspoiled stunning nature and breathtaking natural wonders.
Here is a sneak peek of the main installations visitors will encounter while visiting the Pavilion:
“Virtual Forest” is the main installation of this pavilion and is present throughout the exhibition. The concept is inspired by one of the country’s main attractions: the Biogradska Gora National Park. Our team reproduced the “breath” of the forest by designing 184 bright plexiglass trees. Two different heights, a double layer of milling, and skillful use of lights create the rhythm and dynamism of this full immersion experience.
“Land of Unexpected Wonders” is an interactive wall offering visitors the opportunity to explore the primates that make Montenegro unique, such as the TaraCanyon, the deepest canyon in Europe.
“Beauties of Montenegro” is the Pavilion‘s central installation showcasing the extraordinary wild natural beauty and different landscapes of Montenegro. An immersive and integrated experience with the fairy digital forest unwinding throughout the pavilion: images on the wall screen are combined with sounds and lights of the forest recreating the phases of the day and the noises of nature.
“Natural Treasures” presents Montenegrin biodiversity as one of the main treasures of this wild land. The installation is an interactive stylized Montenegrin landscape composed of colored plexiglass layers that visitors can pull up as vertical drawers to discover infographics about iconic natural elements of the country’s flora and fauna.

MEC Global in Brussels has chosen ActiveMe to develop and integrate a brand new concept of interactive table into its new meeting room.
The challenge was to create a productive space while keeping the wow effect.
An 84″ screen in 4K was set up on the wall. The 55” touch screen was integrated into a custom made table and all the hardware was connected to a user friendly domotic solution, enabling users to easily switch between sources.
The application set up on the 55″ touch screen allows you to handle media files like PowerPoint files, HD videos and other useful documents.
The touch table can detect custom objects like business cards holder and allows you to navigate in a new way through your files.

As the holiday season was approaching, Go2 Productions teamed up with Bell Astra Media to create an eye-catching 3D animated advertisement for TJX. The advertisement was displayed on Astral's iconic curved LED billboard situated at the busy intersection of Yonge and Dundas in Toronto, ON.

Check out this impressive activation, including video, projection and touch interactivity, that we supplied to UNIT9 for the Peugeot Allure event, launching the new Peugeot E-3008 car.
We provided a video package that consisted of nearly 700 panels of our 3.9mm Gloshine, Unilumin Upad IV and ROE Black Marble to create an immersive set made out of an LED wall, floor and ceiling.
The event also featured an impressive interactive 14.5-m wide with a x7 blended projection display spanning an area of 28.5m wide, which was rigged on an automated truss on Kinesys motors, and lifted to reveal the car and LED set behind it.

历经一年多的更新改造,位于上海人民广场的上海城市规划展示馆正式对外开放。新馆增加两千多平方米的展示面积,分为序厅、人文之城、创新之城和生态之城4个主题展厅,并引入VR、AR、全息影像以及5D数字化城市沙盘等新颖科技手段,为参观者提供沉浸式互动体验。作为全国首家城市规划馆和风向标,展览馆里的每一个新故事,都蕴含着上海城市规划展示馆的转型和探索。
步入一楼的序厅,映入眼帘的是一幅以绿色为底、金线勾勒的铜版雕刻作品,名为“城市大脑”,展示了未来数字化城市的多中心结构,如同人类大脑的神经元网络。千丝万缕的铜线中,还藏着黄浦江、苏州河的蜿蜒形态,极具设计感。在序厅中央的上空有一组巨型8K环幕,循环播放题为“上海印象”的城市画卷。另一侧墙壁集中展示了上海自1931年至2017年的六轮城市总体规划介绍。
二楼“人文之城”展厅以圆为设计元素,空间以淡橙色诠释温度和记忆,展示红色文化、江南文化和海派文化。春阳里、步高里、张园、曹杨新村等微缩模型栩栩如生,朱家角模型还特地放大了放生桥区域的场景,把细节生动演绎出来,让外地游客也能感受到江南文化的特色。
三楼“创新之城”展厅以放射条线为设计元素,空间以灰色诠释科技感和未来感,展示上海新兴战略和数字化转型成果。5D数字化城市沙盘就在这处展厅里,采用数字孪生理念,以垂直呈现方式,构建了可交互的混合现实场景。
四楼“生态之城”以网络状为设计元素,空间呈现绿色。地上有一条蓝色河流缓缓流淌,时而能看到中华鲟等生物“出没”。在高低错落的“地势图”上,只需拨动一个按钮,红、黄、蓝、绿光随之交错变动,2000年前、4000年前,乃至2万年前,长江河口的演变情况尽收眼底,演示沙盘生动地展现上海的成陆过程。

Since its establishment in 2012, Didi has risen to the top as one of the most successful internet unicorns in the world. The well-known online ride-sharing company now is eager to inform the public that they aim higher than they seem: as a data based company, they wish to utilize the big data to redefine the future of mobility.
The 600 sqm showroom is located in Didi´s headquarter in Beijing. Equipped with cut-edge multi-media technology, the founder of Didi, Will, is able to present his vision via experience of the future supported by both facts and educated predictions. The 40min long immersive journey allows the visitors to dive into the story: the unlimited future of intelligent traffic.
Facial recognition allows visitors to authorize the entrance door to open and activate the showroom. In the opening show, the double-layered hologram screens present Didi’s journey as a company to the audience with a high-tech touch. The “social responsibly” corridor uses a 30m long touch screen which gives the visitors an opportunity to explore the stories behind the success. The “future mobility” section is an immersive movie experience which offers 2min version of the future possibilities.
The key section, which mainly presents the theme of this show room, is the “intelligent traffic” hall. In this section, Didi showcases their real-time data capability and how they’re processed by Didi Brain, as well as Didi’s dedication to change the shift the mobility paradigm via big data. The screen on the wall and the interactive table works together to give a very clear explanation.
